International Adrenal Consortium

In 2021, The National Adrenal Diseases Foundation initiated an international network of adrenal disease organizations who share a common bond: supporting adrenal disease communities. The International Adrenal Consortium marks the historic alignment of efforts in the adrenal disease community with a focus on the following goals:

  • Strengthening our ability to respond to important new information or crises affecting the adrenal disease community

  • Creating a unified voice to improve awareness and education for patients, caregivers, and the medical community

  • Providing the best possible support to adrenal patients, caregivers and families.

The Consortium continues to grow in membership, with members meeting virtually every four months to exchange insights on the latest research, treatments—including emergency management—educational strategies, and broader healthcare-related challenges. In 2025, the Consortium designated April 7 as International Adrenal Disease Awareness Day, marking a highly successful inaugural observance. The initiative received strong support across social media from patient organizations, researchers, and several endocrine associations. We are grateful for this widespread engagement and look forward to expanding the reach and impact of future outreach and educational efforts.
